Activities

Nottingham is steeped in heritage so there are lots of fun things you can do for free, including:

Visiting Sherwood Forest Nature Reserve to visit the famous Major Oak, which is said to be around 1,000 years old and is where Robin Hood and his Merry Men slept.

Robin Hood Town Tour by Ade Andrews, who brings to life this history with Robin Hood with passion and excitement. Tours start at Cross Keys every Saturday at 2pm.

There are also lots of fun things you can do that you may never of thought of, such as:

Tree Top adventure and Forest Segway at Sherwood Pines Forest, to get the adrenaline pumping, just a few miles away from Robin Hood’s hideaway. Prices start from £16.

The total cost for Jacob’s trip to Nottingham was less than £200 for both him and a friend. So, what are you waiting for? Start planning your next weekend away, for less, with Railcard.
